A Creative Vision: Two

I am a math teacher in the Norwegian high school system. Took up photography about a year ago, that is, got my first DSLR in January 2013. The year before that I had merely used my cell to capture images that I posted on Fb. To my amazement many of them were well received. Photography is a great, expensive and time consuming hobby. I started out with shooting solely in jpg making simple adjustments in Gimp. Then I discovered HDR - still with very simple processing. Got Lightroom in June, but it took months before I learned to take advantage of some of its potential. This fall I ventured to approach Photoshop. Even though I have learned a lot lately it feels like I am standing in front of a vast ocean onto which I have only dipped my big toe. Some say I have a talent. There are days when I vehemently disagree with such a notion. However, I know when I see a great image from a great artist - the feeling of awe that comes over me then is priceless.
